Matthew Ross is currently a researcher for the Centre for Industrial Competitiveness at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Matthew received his M.A. from the Regional Economic and Social Development program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Matthew has recently been accepted as an economics Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut where he will continue to study labor and economic geography. Matthew was a co-author on a report for the International Labour Organization entitled “United States Skills for Green Jobs”. Matthew has given presentations at the U.S. Census Bureau, New England Sociological Association, the Boston Foundation, and the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership. Matthews’s current research focuses on the empirical assessment, geographic distribution, institutional foundations, and occupational training requirements of innovative industrial development.
