Bob Bell

Bob Bell Jr. is PhD student at UC Berkeley’s School of Information where he focuses on the emergence of Kenya’s IT-enabled services sector. In the FIID project, Bob Bell is drafting case studies on the communication technology sector, with in-depth company research on Cisco, Motorola, and Nortel. Before Berkeley, he worked in the Science and Technology Section at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). In this capacity, he researched and drafted policy options on the role of information and communication technologies and science, technology and innovation for development with the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development. He has an undergraduate electrical engineering degree from Stanford University.
