Yue Zhang

Yue Zhang is a research associate with Research Institute on Social and Economic Policy (RISEP), Florida International University. She has an M.A. in Regional Economic and Social Development from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her Master’s thesis explored the innovation capability of an industry cluster in China. Yue Zhang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Foreign Trade from Zhejiang University (China). She had worked for LG Electronics’ International Purchase Office (Shanghai) for 5 years before moving to the USA.

At RISEP, Yue Zhang is responsible for much of the data management, and has contributed to studies on former foster youth, immigrants in Florida, women’s economic security, and wages and cost of living for workers in Florida. She is also responsible for RISEP’s budgeting and financial management. During the past year (2010), Ms. Zhang was the lead researcher on our project analyzing the impact of the early child care and education industry on the Miami-Dade County economy.
