Yin Li

Yin Li is PhD student at Georgia Tech School of Public Policy. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as Professor William Lazonick’s research assistant on the project on Financial Institutions for Innovation and Development, funded by the Ford Foundation. In addition, he is the Editor of Opinion blog and Newsletter of ChinaAnalysis.com, where he writes regularly on innovation, industrial development and corporate governance in China. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Renmin University of China. Yin Li’s FIID project involves a case study of the Chinese semiconductor industry, in which he discussed how various forms of financial institutions influenced the innovative investment strategies of firms in the setting of technological catch-up. Yin Li is also working with Professor Lazonick on a paper on Innovative Enterprises and the Chinese system of innovation.
